PROGRESSING OCEAN INNOVATION

Launched in 2022 by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, with the support of Builders Vision, the Ocean Innovators Platform is an initiative designed to spotlight and elevate breakthrough solutions that can help accelerate the sustainable transition of ocean-related sectors, including waste management, seafood, and maritime industries. As the blue economy continues to expand, so does the diversity and potential of innovative approaches addressing its environmental and social challenges. However, many of these promising solutions face a critical barrier: access to the capital needed to scale their reach and impact. The Ocean Innovators Platform seeks to bridge this gap by promoting the most forward-thinking and impactful innovations, while leveraging the Foundation’s global network and that of its partners to engage investors, asset owners, and corporates. Through curated programming and strategic outreach, the initiative raises awareness of the vast and largely untapped universe of opportunities within the blue economy, encouraging stakeholders to recognize its value and invest in its future.
