Christo du Plessis joined Matorka as CEO in April 2022. He has held senior management and C-suite roles in land-based aquaculture ventures in both South Africa and Europe since 2003. He spent 12 years with Abagold Ltd, a leading abalone producer and 3 years at The Kingfish Company in the Netherlands before taking up the role at Matorka.
Christo completed his B.Compt (Honours) degree in Finance and Accounting in South Africa and qualified as Chartered Accountant (SA) in 1997.
