Genie Godula is a Franco-American
broadcast journalist based in Paris. She currently anchors and produces the
daytime show Live from Paris on international news network France 24. Genie
also presents the channel's weekly magazine Inside the Americas and co-hosts
France 24's flagship show on French culture, French Connections. Genie has done
a series of high-profile entertainment interviews with guests including Steven
Spielberg, Patricia Arquette, Woody Allen, Johnny Depp, Helen Mirren, etc.
Genie is a
regular host of press conferences, premieres and awards ceremonies including
the American Film Festival in Deauville, the Cannes Film Festival and the Monte
Carlo Television Festival.
Over the
past twenty years, she's presented segments and shows on several French TV
stations including TF1, France 3, TMC, TPS Star and The Travel Channel.
She started
her career on national station Fun Radio as the co-host of France's first
all-female talk show. She has also hosted segments on French news radio Europe
1.
Genie
serves on the board of Make-A-Wish France, the American Church in Paris and
children’s theatre ACT Paris. She is a member of the Académie des Lumières, an
organization of foreign journalists in France that gives film awards similar to
the Golden Globes. She is also a jury member for the PeaceJam Foundation
special prize awarded at the Monte Carlo TV festival.
