Blue Action Lab

Jefrey has a PhD in International Sustainable Development from the Yale School of the Environment, where he conducted his doctoral research on coastal communities and marine environments in Brazil and Panama. This research has informed his subsequent policy-making and institution-building for non-proft organizations and federal agencies, as well as in the private sector. He has over two decades of experience in international development as a researcher, entrepreneur and consultant. He developed the place-based impact investing and climate philanthropy projects at the Urban Institute in Washington DC and worked on corporate diplomacy in Silicon Valley while at the U.S. State Department. He is Co-Founder of Blue Action Lab and Blue Action Ventures which, through a joint venture with Founders Factory, has launched the Blue Action Accelerator.
