Lydia Kapsenberg is a Senior Associate at CEA Consulting. Her expertise is on ocean-climate topics, including ocean-based carbon dioxide removal and blue carbon. For the last four years, she has supported the leading philanthropic foundations and initiatives with ocean CDR science programs. Prior to joining CEA, Lydia spent a decade in academic research, focused on ocean biogeochemistry ecophysiology and authored 18 scientific publications on ocean acidification. She received her PhD from the University of California, Santa Barbara and postdoctoral research fellowships from the United States National Science Foundation and European Commission.
